FAQs and Ethical Sourcing

What does "ethically sourced" mean?

Ethically sourced crystals speaks on the mining or creation process of the crystals. For naturally mined crystals, such as rose quartz, the mining process left minimal environmental damage, the miners were paid fairly, were not children, and were provided proper, functional safety equipment. For lab created crystals, such as goldstone, the lab workers were not children, were paid fairly, provided proper safety equipment, and their laboratory minimally impacts the environment.

 

Are Future4Caster crystals real?

Yes, all of the Future4Caster crystals are genuine stones. Some may be a form of glass, such as the naturally occurring black obsidian. Whether the stone is lab created or mined directly from the earth, they are all real. How do you know the crystals are ethically sourced?

The manufacturing companies I work with are required to prove their sourcing methods by being directly involved in the mining process. Workers from the manufacturing company will own or partner with the mines and send workers to oversee the mining process. These mines are mainly located in Brazil, Pakistan, Madagascar, and India. None of the mines are located in Afghanistan. The mica powder is synthetic so no mica included in the powder was mined from the earth to ensure ethical sourcing.

 

Who are your manufacturers?

Due to the competitive market we live in, I cannot say exactly who my suppliers are, lest a different company buy from them and resell the same crystals for a lower price. However, I do NOT purchase any crystals for resell from Amazon, AliExpress, Temu, and similar sites. Many times with crystals the patterns are the same when it comes to carvings, and some unethical businesses are capable of carving the same way as ethical businesses.

 

What is Aluna?

Aluna is a religion I created for a fictional elven race on another world. However, my personal beliefs match with the core concepts of Aluna closely. Besides, who is to say that the characters I created have not been manifested into existence out there somewhere? Do what best fits your spiritual needs, without harming others. Spirits can manifest as gods who support other spiritual practices. Belief is power, and belief creates spiritual guides and gods.

 

Do you offer crystal ID cards that include the crystal meanings?

Yes! For every crystal you buy, you will receive its identification card that includes the Aluna meaning. The same goes for the appearances of herbs and animals in your order. For traditional meanings of the crystals, herbs, or animals, please message Emily directly to have your cards customized to best fit your practice.
